ORIGNTD / Content Credentials guide
How to find and verify Content Credentials
Content Credentials can expose signed provenance information about a digital asset, including supported origin, editing and AI-related assertions.
A responsible verification sequence
- Find a supported credential or manifest
- Validate its cryptographic binding to the file
- Read supported assertions and signer information
- State what the credential does not establish
Valid does not mean true
A valid signature supports bounded provenance and integrity claims. It does not independently establish factual truth, ownership or legal clearance.
